The weather is starting to warm and construction at the Lost Rhino Retreat is starting to enter the final stages. Putting the finishing touches on a patio that will surely be the ‘place to be’ as we move into summer.
The construction phase has taken a little longer than we would have liked but we felt it was important that we brought the same great vibe we have in the Tasting Room to the new Retreat in Brambleton. We’ve cleared out a few walls (creating a ruckus as well as a huge cloud of dust!), exposed some steel beams, and even put our beer cooler in the main dining room. The place is really starting to have the laid back, inviting feel of the original brewery and tasting room.
Matt, our founder, spent a considerable amount of time looking for and finding interesting materials to repurpose in the Retreat. The large hanging lights in the dining room and lobby are over 85 years old and have been reclaimed and refurbished from a factory in North Carolina. The wood pallets on the wall were found locally at a sod farm. They were all the exact same size; clearly a sign that they were meant to go on the wall! All of our art work is produced by local artist Tonia Priolo.
The draft system arrived this week and over 16 lines of beer are being installed as we speak.
We are interviewing and hiring for all positions right now and are still looking for friendly, team oriented beer lovers to come join us on our next adventure. You can apply online or in person at our Tasting Room on Red Rum Dr in Ashburn.
Stay tuned for more updates coming soon.
